Job Description

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring excellent presentation and taste. Experience in a fast-paced, multicultural kitchen is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a wide variety of dishes according to menu specifications and food safety standards

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, cooks, and assistants

  • Ensure consistent food quality, portion control, and presentation

  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all kitchen and food preparation areas

  • Order and monitor inventory of food supplies, ingredients, and equipment

  • Collaborate with restaurant management to design and update menus

  • Monitor kitchen costs, reduce waste, and ensure efficient use of resources

  • Train new kitchen staff and ensure compliance with safety and sanitation regulations (HACCP standards)

  • Handle customer feedback and ensure the highest satisfaction levels

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Chef or Sous Chef (minimum [X] years depending on level)

  • Culinary degree or diploma from a recognized institution (preferred but not mandatory)

  • Strong knowledge of international or specific cuisine (e.g., Continental, Arabic, Indian, Asian, Italian, etc.)

  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (HACCP)

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

  • Fluency in English (Arabic or other languages a plus)

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in Dubai or the GCC hospitality market

  • UAE Food Handler’s Certificate or equivalent (preferred)

  • Experience in hotel kitchens, fine dining, or high-volume restaurants

Working Conditions:

  • Fast-paced kitchen environment

  • Long hours, including weekends and holidays

  • Standing for extended periods
